Meet the Pyszczymuka Family Featured in Beachwalk Stroll

Martin and his family were featured in the June 2026 issue of Beachwalk Stroll, sharing their journey from public service to grassroots campaigning in St. Johns County. The article highlights Martin’s background in federal law enforcement, his commitment to slowing the growth, and the family values driving this campaign.

IF YOU’VE MET THE PYSZCZYMUKAS, you already know – learning how to pronounce their name is the hardest part. (For the record: pish-chih-MOO-kah.) Everything else about them tends to feel surprisingly familiar. Martin and Ava moved to Beachwalk with their two children from Hawaii nearly four years ago, where Martin had been stationed with the FBI. Like many families during that time, they were looking to escape the oppressive COVID-era policies and find a place where freedom still felt intact. St. Johns County quickly felt like the right place to put down roots...

Martin Discusses the Future of St. Johns County on "Beachwalk and Beyond"

Host Fred Amato (owner of Stroll Beachwalk) sits down with Martin Pyszczymuka, a retired FBI agent and Republican candidate for St. Johns County Commissioner, District 2. From a family that survived a WWII labor camp to a career as a federal Air Marshal and FBI fraud investigator, Martin lays out why he’s running and what “Slow the Growth, Stop the Waste” actually means for the county. It’s a wide-ranging, local conversation about growth, accountability, and the August 18 election that will decide the seat.

My first podcast experience. Thank you to Beachwalk and Beyond for having me as your 4th guest! Fred Amato and Scooby Miller, you are true professionals, and the residents along the 210 corridor are lucky to have such dedicated advocates in their corner. Give it a listen: like, share, and subscribe to help them grow and get the word out!

Stand for Health Freedom Endorses Martin Pyszczymuka

Martin is honored to receive the official endorsement of Stand for Health Freedom, a national organization dedicated to protecting individual liberty, informed consent, and medical freedom.

"Happy to share that I received an official endorsement from Stand for Health Freedom this past weekend. This endorsement means a lot to me. Like many Americans, the COVID years reinforced my concerns about government overreach and protecting individual bodily autonomy. For many people, it was a scales falling from our eyes moment that changed the way they viewed the relationship between citizens and government.

As the father of an 11-year-old and a 7-year-old, and as someone who strives to be the best possible steward of everything the Lord has entrusted to me, I will do all in my power to ensure that people are free to make their own informed decisions about their health and the health of their families.

I believe people should be able to choose healthy food options and make their own medical decisions without unnecessary government intrusion. I have always believed these freedoms are God-given rights. If anyone has ever wondered where I stand on these issues, I hope this makes it clear."

St. Johns County Republican Assembly Endorses Martin Pyszczymuka

We are honored to receive the official endorsement of the St. Johns County Republican Assembly (SJCRA) for the 2026 election.

Following a rigorous candidate vetting process, the SJCRA selected Martin as its endorsed candidate for St. Johns County Commissioner, District 2. The endorsement recognizes principled leadership, constitutional governance, accountability, and the courage to follow through on campaign promises."

This is my favorite because it summarizes the press release without overstating anything.

"Ronald Reagan called the Republican Assembly the "conscience of the Republican Party." Thank you St. Johns County Republican Assembly for your endorsement and support in this effort to protect St. Johns County."
