Everything else about them tends to feel surprisingly familiar. Martin and Ava moved to Beachwalk with their two children from Hawaii nearly four years ago, where Martin had been stationed with the FBI. Like many families during that time, they were looking to escape the oppressive COVID-era policies and find a place where freedom still felt intact. St. Johns County quickly felt like the right place to put down roots...

Like many Americans, the COVID years reinforced my concerns about government overreach and protecting individual bodily autonomy. For many people, it was a scales falling from our eyes moment that changed the way they viewed the relationship between citizens and government.
As the father of an 11-year-old and a 7-year-old, and as someone who strives to be the best possible steward of everything the Lord has entrusted to me, I will do all in my power to ensure that people are free to make their own informed decisions about their health and the health of their families.
